Espen Sjaastad is a professor at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, living in Oslo, Norway. Karl-Eric Svensson was employed by tackle maker ABU from 1957 until 2003. He and wife Mona live in Svängsta, Sweden.

An Abu Classic !500/2500 baitcaster "bible" !

Excellent reference reference food for any tragic for these classic round reels. It is done in a easy and accommodating style that reflects an insiders love for the subject. It is a priceless resource for the collector whether it be for use or just plain collecting, so a potential buyer can can make just a bit more of an informed decision, in spite of the often poor online descriptions, by quizzing the seller on pertinent questions.
A timeline and history of various models gives a valuable organised perspective of reel development. In this, the author's quite frank low-lighting of a down period due to a change in management ethos, must be applauded.
Allowance is made, that for the user of these fine reels, it is permissible to err from being an Abu purist in the quest for performance That one can seek custom builds and DIY third party modifications. This tome doesn't shy away from these reels impact in both precision and tournament casting
For practical fishing lefties (actually enables a right hander, an ept first strike response!) didn't appear till later in their history. OUTSTANDING ! This is the type of book that every collecting field should have, but usually doesn't. This book is the most comprehensive collector's book that I have ever seen in the fishing reel arena. Solid research and data analysis, concise presentation, crisp text, even some humor. Filled with many color photos and illustrations, data tables, reel schematics, patent drawings, and much more - everything a collector would want to know about these reels. Who would have known that there are more than 60 distinct variants of these small Ambassadeurs! This book is a must-buy for Ambassadeur collectors who now have the information necessary to validate the authenticity of each of the small Ambassadeur variants and reduce the chance of purchasing fakes, forgeries, and "put-together" reels.

As the author of a collector's book in the firearms field (The FN-49 - The Last Elegant Old-World Military Rifle) I can well appreciate the effort that went into the creation of this book. BRAVO and congratulations to the authors.

Great for single dads

As a single father of 2 young girls, this book is pure gold. I purchased this book as a gift for my girls, but I read it and use it all the time-not on my hair. Shows easy styles and has hair health tips also. I think I could soon braid Willy Nelsons hair.

I bought this for my eleven year old and she hasn't picked it up a second time. Most of the styles, in my opinion, are out of style.. like using a row of the one-inch butterfly clips to pin back hair in sections, mimicking a headband. I'm glad I didn't buy it new, or I'd regret this purchase even more.

Worst Book I Have Ever Paid For

Summary:

I bought this book with the hope it will provide insights into the complex and ever evolving ad networks for android. My second hope was it might be a good reference for information on ad networks. Unfortunately, this book fails on both sides. It does not provide a single useful piece of information you wouldn't find widely and publicly available. Not only that, but it is not even a comprehensive reference missing more popular and successful ad networks than what it contains.

Details:
1- Book breakdown:
This book consists of 4 sections and 3 appendices. The first section is a long introduction which anyone ever developed for android already knows. The second section is a ridiculous step-by-step tutorial to signup and setup AdMob, InMobi, MobFox, and LeadBlot. Thankfully, no paper was wasted for this section as I read the Kindle edition. In section three the author just rambles around wasting more of your time. In section four, after writing a 173 words conclusion, the author shamelessly dedicates it to advertise for his other books and website/blog.

The 3 appendices, on the other hand, are surprisingly more useful than the book sections. Appendix one is data the author collected on ad networks. However, most data fields are missing, and as I mentioned before, more popular ad networks are missing than what's included. Appendix two is a collection of links mentioned in the book. Appendix three is a glossary of 15 terms (this should be your indicator of how rich the book is).

2- Missing information:
Common phrases you'd read:
"I haven't had a chance to verify their ad solution yet"
"I can't say for sure"
"I did not investigate further"
"I didn't have time to"
"I haven't been able to verify this"
This should give you an idea that the author have not fully done his homework in gathering the information for you. In addition, in appendix one where the author is supposed to provide data on ad networks, most fields are labeled either as NA or unknown. Again, more information is missing than included.

3- Conflicts :
The author says "Push ads are another ad format that I do not want to be involved in at this time" at the end of appendix one. However, he includes moolahmedia in reviewed ad networks, which is mainly a push notification ad network. If the author criteria was not to include ad networks that only have push notification, then he should have included every ad network since none of them only have push notification alone.

I'd say the author is either bias or not well organize and a bit lazy!

4- Typos and mistakes:
I advise the author to use spell check for his next book. Typos such as "isin't" should not appear in any book. Furthermore, when you say APK instead of JAR you pretty much screw up the entire instruction list. The author did this mistake at least twice.

Conclusion:

The content of this book is more suitable to be summarize in a nice and freely available blog post. I stress on summarized because the content is over stretched to look richer.

NO. IT'S ALL TRUE!

- It's very short. I read it all in one hour and half.
- It gives no information (it tells me how to register to sites???)
- It refers to many things that could be interesting (things for which I've bough the book), but they are treated in another book!

Absolutely love this cookbook!

I wasn't expecting much out of this cookbook because I don't usually use conventional cookbooks, I usually try to make very healthy recipes without gluten, processed foods, etc. However, I decided to look through this book after getting my vitamix and I was really surprised with how healthy the recipes were! there is an entire section devoted to just raw recipes, which is really unusual for a cookbook. Not only that, but all their recipes are made up mostly of fruits and vegetables, even the soups call for whole carrots, celery, etc. On top of that, for being healthy recipes, the flavor is amazing. One of my favorite is the tortilla soup, it is so yummy! You can even leave out the tortilla chips it calls for and it still has really good flavor. This is a cookbook that I will be using over and over again.

I got this cookbook with my vitamix from costco and while I love my vitamix, this cookbook could really be better. So far I've tried the acorn squash soup, which we all enjoyed, even my four year old. I was excited to try the hot soup program so next i tried the carrot ginger orange soup. I should have known adding that much orange was a bad idea! Further, the 1/2 inch of orange skin made it really bitter. It tasted like a pectin infused hot, bitter orange soup. Gross! I really wanted the raw foods cookbook and video because I'm a fan of that cookbook. I don't know who this chef is, but he has no personality. Also, I was amused by his claiming there were no preservatives in his "homemade" peanut butter and then proceeded to use honey roasted peanuts, which are full of preservatives and gross additives. Yuck! Anyway, definitely not worth $50.

Nutritional Values

I was very disappointed in my new Savor cookbook for my VitaMix machine. The original one that came with machine had the recipe plus the nutritional values, ex. sodium content, calories, fat etc. First of all the price was way out of line for a cookbook of this caliber, however, I was willing to pay the high price thinking it would be the only one I would need. I find I have to look up all the ingredients on the internet to get my sodium content, etc which takes the fun out of using the book. I purchased the VitaMix, which I love, due to health reasons and I am just sorry the Savor book has not met my needs.
